I keep a variety of Pillar and Sapim spokes on hand to cut and thread exactly for the length needed. Also most of the colors available in alloy nipples as well as brass nipples in black or silver.

A typical wheel build in my shop starts with spokes cut to exact length and threaded on my Morizumi machine. Threads are then cleaned, and thread treatment applied. Grease is applied to the rim at each spoke hole and washers if necessary. The hub is laced to the rim then spokes are tensioned, wheel is trued and dished, stressed, and trued again. Spoke tension is measured with a tensiometer and adjusted to be even over the whole wheel.

E-Bikes put extra stress on a typical wheel. Some E-Bike wheels are laced to the motor. I'm not sure that's what most bike wheels were designed for and I've seen plenty of these wheels broken or in need of some kind of help. I have spokes developed for the extra stress, and lacing patterns that deal better with the power and weight.
